POSITION DESCRIPTION – EXECUTIVE
President | · Provide strong, efficient, and effective leadership of KPSJFC ensuring the club promotes participation and development of all teams and programs.
· Ensure Committee fulfil their responsibilities to the club. · Preside at all meetings of the Club Committee · Report activities of the portfolio to the membership at the Annual General Meeting. · Assist other Committee members in their duties as required and undertake tasks at the request of the Committee. · Liaise and represents the Club with Council/ NFNL and attend meetings/events as required |
Vice President | · Provide leadership to all club members.
· Provide support the President and deputise for the President when required. Acts in the best interest of the club at Council / NFNL Meetings. · Provide support to the Committee to ensure the efficient operation of the Club. · Undertake tasks at the request of the President and the Committee. |
Secretary | · Provide appropriate administrative support to the President and Committee.
· Provide a “whole of Club” planning focus to ensure overall efficient management of club functions. · To manage business considered by the Club Committee. · Provide a coordinating and support role for the Committee and provide secretarial support. · Maintain an accurate copy of the Rules and By-Laws of the Club. · Be familiar with the rules of the Club, NFNL, AFLV, AFL and any other body that has governance to give advice to the Committee. · Prepare minutes of all Committee Meetings and distribute them to Committee Members. · Receive all correspondence directed to the Club. · Receives emails from the NFNL and passes them onto the appropriate people. · Prepare and send correspondence in accordance with the direction of the President and Committee. · Assists and undertakes tasks at the request of the President and Committee. · Distribute weekly KPSJFC newsletter to all members. · Report activities of the portfolio to the membership at the Annual General Meeting. |
Treasurer | · Manages the budget and funds of the Clubs.
· Ensures all invoices and bills are paid by due dates. · To ensure that a financial management system and reporting system is put in place and operable, so the Club Committee has an accurate, true and correct understanding of the financial status of the Club at all times. · Reports activities of the portfolio to the membership at the Annual General Meeting. · Provides support to the Committee and completes tasks as directed. |
POSITION DESCRIPTION – GENERAL
Player Welfare Officer | · Promotes wellbeing of all players.
· As Helps the club develop an environment where all players feel safe, and that it is inclusive, respectful, and enjoyable. · Assist with the provision of advice, support and guidance for junior players that require additional assistance. · Helps the club develop an environment where all players feel safe, and that it is inclusive, respectful, and enjoyable. · Help the club to promote, enforce and improve standards, practices and codes of conduct and policies to support players and club development. · Ensures that the Club deals promptly, impartially, and sensitively with player welfare issues and breaches of policies and code of conduct, and that it imposes appropriate sanctions for breaches. |
Registrar | · Work alongside the Secretary to assist new families with registration enquiries.
· Work with the Committee to coordinate registrations and ensure all players are registered and cleared to play. · Available during Registration Days and pre season to assist members with registrations. · Welcome all new members to the club. · Prepare and distribute team lists to Coaches and Team Managers. · Have access to PlayHQ registration portal to assist and monitor registrations. |
Netball Coordinator | · To coordinate the netball program at the Club including player and coaching recruitment, registration and organization of the netball program including training and events.
· To ensure that the netball program complies with League rules and processes. · Assist netball coaches and team managers with their duties if required. · Be the link between the Committee and the netball program. |
Assistant Secretary | · Assist the Secretary with administrative tasks when required which could include preparing and complying weekly match paperwork, assisting with creation and publication of newsletter etc
· Provide support to the wider committee when required. |
Assistant Treasurer | · Act in the Treasurer’s position when the Treasurer is unavailable or requires assistance,
· Support the Treasurer with tasks when required. · Provide support to the wider committee when required. |
Sponsorship | · Develop a variety of sponsorship packages in collaboration with the Committee
· Identify and liaise with potential sponsor opportunities · Oversee the management of sponsor agreements within the Club · Actively seek to promote the sponsor within the club · Provide sponsorship information to the social media/communications coordinator for inclusion on media channels. |
Grants | · Identification of potential new funding sources
· Development of funding resources for existing and proposed programs and/or services · Writing grants including developing budgets, collaborating on grant applications with various club members · Identify and maintain future projects and programs database to meet the priorities and goals of the club (grants wish list) · Identify opportunities, develop applications and coordinate reporting for grants · Coordinate and oversee the development and submission of grant applications · Coordinate and oversee the development and submission of grant acquittals · Document processes, maintain records and produce reports on all grants for the club committee |
Child Safety Officer | · With training and support from the EDFL, adopt and implement Child Safety measures such as a Mission
· Statement, Safety Policy, Code Of Conduct, Recruitment Policy etc. and ensure these are readily available to all club members · Address club personnel, players and parents about child safety issues; implement some initiatives to empower children at your club · Promote your club’s Incident Reporting Procedure; respond to any reports · Run risk assessments on your club and address any potential issues (checklist available at…) · Make yourself and your role known to everyone at your club · Ensure all club officials have provided proof of relevant qualifications, particularly Working With Children Checks. |
Social Media and Communications | · Create a communication strategy and break it down into pre, during and post season.
· Work out which social media platforms and strategies best suit the success of your communication strategy, club goals and objectives. · Updating of social media platforms and website to ensure all communication is up to date · Actively update the club’s social media channels throughout the week during the season (e.g. updating scores, results, achievements, events etc.) · Promote club events and activities as well as special promotions or offers from sponsors. · Team up with all divisions of the club to ensure their message and stories are being continually promoted and communicated. |
General Member | · Involved in decision making, attending Club meetings, and helping other Committee members when required to ensure the club runs smoothly.
· Assist the Committee providing support and completing tasks when requested. · Learns the various aspects of the management of the Club with a view of potentially taking on a role in future years. · Help make a place for kids to want to come, to ensure the future of the club is strong. |
