A new chapter for the Keon Park Stars began in 2013 with the introduction of our first netball team into the Northern Netball League. This was a first for our club with a senior women’s netball team taking to the court each season between 2013 and 2019.
2018 proved itself to be a strong season for the Keon Park with the club entering two teams in netball competitions as well as our Keon Park 1 team appearing in the Finals for the first time in our club history narrowly falling short in the Semi Final. That season was also a success with our first League Best and Fairest and Sharp Shooter winner, Natasha Atkinson Brown winning both awards.
Unfortunately due to lack of numbers, the 2018-19 NFNL Summer season was the final season that a Keon Park Stars women’s team entered a netball competition.
Looking to bring netball back to the club, 2021 is a promising year with the introduction of NetSetGo to our club to develop junior netball pathways for girls and boys in netball alongside our current Football programs.
