The NFNL today announced that for all junior footy competitions, the team that finished first on the home and away ladder will be presented with a Premiership cup, Premiership flag and premiership medallions, therefore being crowned premiers.
This means that our Under 13s side has been named as the Premiers for the U13 Green competition. This recognition is richly deserved. Many of the players have been playing at the club for a number of seasons now with some players also graduating from our Auskick program. Our U13s side have always adopted a team first attitude led by Brad Hockey who becomes a Premiership coach for the second time at Keon Park after a flag in 2014. This premiership comes after finishing Runners Up in 2019 unfortunately losing the Grand Final to Whittlesea but in 2021 had a strong campaign finishing top of the ladder. Out of the 11 games played in 2011, they won 9 of them with a percentage of 231.68%. Some of those victories were big wins too with many players contributing to the wins. What a great season by the team?!
Congratulations once again. We are beyond proud of your achievements as a team and hopefully once COVID restrictions permit, we can gather to celebrate all our sides’ year and this premiership.
Good luck to the U13 team members that are in contention for awards at the 2021 NFNL Junior Awards night on Monday evening. We wish you all the very best.
There is just one thing left to say… GO STARS!
